EXPLORE PROTEIN STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION - MODEL3D was developed to allow students to learn about, utilize and explore 3D printing for various STEM fields.  MODEL3D for Biology applies 3D printing in a student-lead, team-based research project that includes creating understandable, interesting, informative, and scientifically correct biological (DNA, Proteins and more) models that can be printed in 3D.  Then share your information using all of the presentation your team created for a rich visual experience, then top off the team presentation by sharing the didactic or hands - on experience the printed 3D model provides.  We rely on the resources found on the PDB databank.  If you are thinking of forming a team, click on View the Molecules of the Month as a great resource of ideas to get you started.
